2018 Delegation
On Tuesday morning, our delegation departed towards Okazaki
Mr. Nagata and Mrs. Takako ( above), arrived as chaperones with the Okazaki Student Delegation September 28th.
They were received by the Newport Beach Delegation, Members and Board Members of the Newport Beach Sister City Association  and Newport Balboa Rotary Club, at the Newport Beach City Central Library.

Since 1984, the Newport Beach Sister City Association, in conjunction with the Newport-Balboa Rotary Club, are selected six to seven middle school students to travel to Okazaki for a ten-day visit in July.  In October these same students host their Japanese friends here In Newport Beach.

The exchange was founded by Newport Beach resident Wendell Fish along with Okazaki resident Maso Kato.  
Both members of Rotary clubs, 
Newport-Balboa Rotary and Okazaki International Association.

The delegation visited Tokyo, Kyoto and did a home stay in Okazaki where they attended a Japanese school
from June 27 to July 6, 2017.
